An Introduction to the Relaxation Response

Does this sound familiar? We’ve all had that jarring moment when life knocks us off our post-savasana cloud back into the same-old, stressful story line.So, how do we make that yoga “zen” feeling last? Introducing the Relaxation Response (RR), our body’s built-in buffer to the stress response (a.k.a. Fight for Flight). The good news is it’s available to anyone, anytime, anywhere.

In this 90 min workshop, you’ll sample a broad range of RR techniques like deep breathing, visualization, progressive muscle relaxation and more. It will be an interactive experience that blends self-reflection, mindful awareness and restorative yoga poses for deep connection and peaceful rest. With practice, these powerful skills can help you return to your natural state of balance with more ease again and again.
