Chair Yoga is an extension of yoga that makes it available to anyone that wants to practice yoga, but may have limitations that make a traditional yoga practice challenging. Many of the same yoga postures are practiced, but with the addition of a chair for support and balance. Some postures are done sitting in a chair while other postures are practiced standing behind it. Chair Yoga incorporates the breathing and mind body benefits of a traditional yoga class. Some of the benefits of Chair Yoga include flexibility, strength and peace of mind.
